I’m extremely happy to say that I’m producing Katrine Wind’s larp “Daemon” in the UK. I played a run in Denmark earlier this year, and had a glorious time. It leans heavily on Kant and Pullman, and I heartily recommend the experience you get simply by playing alongside your “daemon”. A booking form will be up on the 11th of September along with additional practical information. It’ll be a not-for-profit run, with open books, and any surplus going to charity.

Daemon is coming to Belgium and the UK in May 2023!
Daemon is a collaborative larp that focuses on the connection between a human and their manifested inner self or soul in the form of an animal – the Daemon.
The core vision for this larp is to experience this connection. You sign up in pairs but not as family, lovers or anything of the sort – you are two parts of the same being. The plot focuses on the aftermath of the War described in Philip Pullman’s His Dark Materials books, though you don’t have to know details about the universe to participate. None of the characters named in the books are playable or mentioned.
The War is over, the player’s characters have to move on, and deciding what that means to them is the meat of the play.
After successful runs in Denmark, and two scheduled in the US, we are excited to announce that we will now be bringing this larp to Belgium and the UK! The game’s creator Katrine Wind will be present as facilitator of each run.

Accessibility: Parts of the site are not physically accessible – there’s no lift access in the main building some players will sleep aboard a wherry – but there are two ground floor bedrooms, and none of the few planned events during the game will happen on the boat.

LARP experience 
Is it possible to submit a slightly late aplication? My partner and I had issues we had to sort before we could apply and the conformation for them have only just arived. We understand if not but it would mean a great deal if we could.
I’m afraid not – I am sure there will be more runs of this larp in the future though, so you’ve not missed out yet.
